“I love still life and studio photography. This is where I can work with everyday items to create an atmosphere or mood. Different angles, lighting and combinations can produce a unique feeling or thought. I love seeing my vision come to life on paper. The physical reaction of people inspires me to always strive for that gut reaction.” As the youngest child of an artistic and musical family, Mark was given his first camera, a Minolta 7S at the age of ten. Living in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Mark learned photography in school and eventually taught photography and dark room techniques to youths. Relocating to Ontario Mark’s passion for digital photography grew. A 15-year I.T. career contributes to Mark’s ability to create his images. |
